Nokia reported 123% growth in sales to AI and cloud customers on a constant-currency basis and €1.5 billion of new orders in the third quarter. Separately, Nokia, NVIDIA and T-Mobile announced an AI-RAN—artificial-intelligence-enabled radio access network—call on T-Mobile's live network in Bellevue. Other operators are conducting or planning trials.

PREMIA VIEW · ANALYSIS

Why it matters for owners, operators and investors

The immediate commercial signal is spending on networks that connect computing infrastructure. Distributed AI at radio sites may create additional opportunities, but smaller operators should require a demonstrated customer use case and operating economics before committing capital.

WHAT REMAINS UNCERTAIN

Trials do not establish deployment scale or returns. Nokia's broader AI/cloud orders cannot be attributed to the radio trial.
